I see the tantalizing shackles of our society: Order and control radiating peace and lethargy which let us function. These regulations as well as our illusion of control are hilarious.

In a narrow sense an illusion is a false perception of (a) reality. When in the perception something existing is experienced as something else (or different) than it actually is, we are talking about illusionary misunderstanding. Illusion is not the perception itself but a fail judgement of (a) reality. So to speak a false opinion - similar to a firm conviction or fix idea - that is represented emphatically without considering concrete real experiences. The more often perception judgements come true the more they are considered as real. These (faulty) confirmed judgements generate thinking and behavioral patterns.
